David M. Rubenstein is co-founder and Co-Chairman of The Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest private-equity firms.

A former lawyer and political adviser under the presidency of Jimmy Carter, he helped turn Carlyle into a global investment powerhouse managing hundreds of billions of dollars in assets.
